I tell you, it’s been one of those weeks. So, not only have I been reading a ton of industry news, I’ve been breaking it up with some silly stuff to keep my head from exploding.
“Nexus One is now ready for AT&T, Rogers Wireless 3G networks” - If my iPhone drops one more call . . . I’m all over this.
“Jimmy Kimmel spotting (and not with Ben Affleck)” - Jimmy Kimmel was IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. I knew I should have gone out instead of going to the gym on Tuesday. Come back Jimmy! As an aside, TableHopper is great if you want good restaurant reviews or just the gossip of what new bar or eatery is opening where.
”The 3 Best Things I Saw at SXSW” - We’ve talked about SXSW quite a bit this week, from the bands to the presentations. I thought this wrap-up was really interesting, both because the AT&T network in Austin apparently rocked, and for how Twitter was used for real-time feedback during panels.
“No More Mr. Brown Eye” - My cat would kill me, in my sleep most likely, if I ever tried to put one of these things on her.
“Social Media is Not About Conversations . . . it’s About Something Much More Amazing” - I follow SiliconValleyWatcher.com for many reasons, a big one being that Tom Foremski is always thinking and writing about what’s next in communications and journalism. He was one of the first journalists to predict the sea change that has taken place within media. I want to know what he sees coming next!
And lastly, when I’ve needed a really good, fall off my chair, cry while hiding under my desk belly laugh, I’ve been visiting: www.textsfromlastnight.com.
