The Breakaway Conference Room: The CES of San Francisco

At Breakaway, we are always looking for new and creative ways for our clients to interact with reporters and bloggers. Earlier this year, we took it up a notch – as Emeril would say - by hosting client demo days in our San Francisco office. What started with our client NDS in January, continued in April when semiconductor provider Broadcom demoed its tablet technology to top Bay Area press. Our guests ranged from Bloomberg BusinessWeek to VentureBeat.

Held the Tuesday after the infamous Apple iPad went on the market, the full-day demo event enabled Broadcom’s Martyn Humphries, Leo Azevedo and Kumi Thiruchelvam to showcase the tablet computers of the future and discuss the role carriers will play in bringing to market the “fourth screen in the home.” I don’t know about you, but I definitely have tablet fever!

We are looking forward to holding more demo days on both coasts as they represent a unique opportunity for reporters to have one-on-one access to demos and build relationships with key executives. There is no better way to begin/continue to strengthen a relationship with a reporter than a face-to-face meeting.

So…move over CES, our conference room is taking names. Stay tuned to see who’s next…but for now, check out the pictures below! Broadcom tablet demo 2.JPGBroadcom tablet SF demo setup.JPGBroadcom tablets.JPG
