Entrepreneurial Spirit – Were you Born with It?



In today’s New York Times there was a truly inspiring read about a local Detroit “boot camp” whose mission is teaching young entrepreneurs about the dos and don’ts of business while helping rebound the city along the way.  Founded by Dan Gilbert, who is an entrepreneur himself, the camp brings in local young adults for a four-month, high-intensity training program that requires immense dedication and out-of-the-box thinking.  

Dan invites many of his fellow business-savvy friends to help educate his “campers” including basketball Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson and Detroit mayor David Bing.  These proven leaders help inspire the students about the value of dedication, determination and hard work.  Entrepreneur or not, these characteristics apply to any individual who strives for success – including PR pros!
